Ladies and gentlemen, this was Jason's idea. Yes, he wanted this. He's more of an extrovert than I am.
Jason Connell:
So we are here to discuss some big news for our listeners. Yes, that is. Let's talk Cobra Kai, officially has a YouTube channel. And we'll be streaming live episodes.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yes, you will be able to hear us and now see us.
Jason Connell:
Oh, yeah. Oh, yes, indeed. So now I'm sure our bigger fans have seen us on Instagram. So they know at least what we look like. But now they can kind of take a backseat. And follow us through a whole episode, from beginning to end tell you end every episode with
Sal Rodriguez:
no mercy. Everybody, this was Jason's idea. He wanted this. He you know, Jason wants to really expand. Just curious media. He wants to make it more multi dimensional. Yes, I'm all about the audio. He wants to video. And believe me, there's probably more after the video too.
Jason Connell:
Right? That's true. Well, let's back up for a second. I am very particular about the audio sounds so particular that Sal has been outfitted with a new studio, and will match my system down to the cable. So now not the IRS was bad before sad. But you had some outdated artist to say dated equipment? Yes. And there was a slight variance there. So no sound is everything. And we'll still edit and put out the audio version. But we will also be going live to YouTube unedited. Yes, just because it's another forum. I've been told by many podcasters Well, you gotta be on YouTube. Well, it's also a chance to kind of raise the stakes. That reminds me, Sal, and we were at festivals hosting together. Yes. And we have a live audience. So we're trying to lower or invite our listeners and future listeners to come and join us on this platform. Interact with this, right? Yeah, recording.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, yeah. We want to have more involvement. We want to have more interaction. We want to communicate engagement. Yeah, I love that word. Yeah, this is this is. Everything is getting bigger, folks. Everything is happening faster. Everything is getting bigger. Remember the snowball effect as we head into season four of Cobra Kai?
Jason Connell:
Yeah. So a couple of things. Since we only have this one episode right now, which we're recording live and no one knows where to find us. We are going to record Monday night. October 25 630. Pacific 930. Eastern. Yeah. And South tell them how they can find us.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, what you got to do specifically is you got to go to just curious media.com you will scroll down a bit. And you'll be able to see watch. And it says watch and it says YouTube Live. Click on that. That's going to take you to the YouTube page. And the first thing you want to do a subscribe, you want to subscribe right away, so that you will be able to receive notifications through YouTube about any upcoming video content.
Jason Connell:
Yeah. And then eventually, when we have some content on this channel, I'm pretty sure people in the future could just type let's talk Cobra Kai into YouTube. Since we have nothing there. As of this recording, nothing comes up.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, the YouTube algorithm is such, I think you have to have content uploaded first before you even appear in a search. So we need to have content and then the searches can happen. So the day will come where you can you yourself or you can tell a friend to go to YouTube and punch in. Let's talk Cobra Kai, that day will come? Not yet. is. I gotta say we've done this since 2019. Now so but I do feel like we have a shiny new toy. And it's super exciting. Like every episode. I'm excited. But now it's like wait a second in and now there's engagement. We can hear from fans in real time. I think there's a little bit of delay. I think it's like 20 seconds, but still, nonetheless, it's really really cool. And also just makes me feel just even more accountable. Now. Again, we do edit the show for time for anything that was tripped up on our cell tells just one too many stories.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, I'm just gonna I'm a little long winded. I'm just kidding. No, but
Jason Connell:
some We do we tighten it up. And so that's great. We still have the luxury and the liberty to do that. But we also have this unedited, unfiltered live version, going to YouTube. And there'll be other fun stuff on YouTube too. For instance, next time Sal or I bounce down to one of the many Karate Kid locations. Oh, yes. And we do like these recorded calls where it's typically been you, but I plan on doing some as well, yes, well, the other person will be at the spot, but we'll be able to see it. Wow, YouTube, live streaming, you could flip it around and see Ali's house, you can spin it back around and see you there. So it's just a little bit more realism. And I'm super excited by that. I know. I'm just a geek. And yeah, there's lots of more episodes in store as we get all the way down to season four of Cobra Kai.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, everybody and you get to see what we look like for those of you who are thinking like, what are these guys look like? Yeah, I know. I don't look the way that I sound. I've heard that before. Believe me. I've really I've heard people are saying, you don't look the way that I thought, hey, remember the odd couple? Check out our backgrounds, folks. Jason is a minimalist, I am a maximalist. So you get to see how we actually live.
Jason Connell:
Oh, true. To Leo's on opposite ends of the spectrum. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. To Leo's I met you sound when you had a head of hair.
Sal Rodriguez:
Yeah, a head of hair and about at least 30 pounds less as well.
Jason Connell:
